Red Scarf Program

Foster Care to Success

The Red Scarf Project is a nationwide initiative that provides handmade red scarves to foster youth who have aged out of the foster care system and are continuing on to college or career training programs. Each scarf is included in a Valentine’s Day care package as a symbol of encouragement, warmth, and support during an important life transition.

By donating a handmade red scarf, volunteers help remind these young adults that they are not alone and that their community believes in their future. The Covina Woman’s Club proudly supports the Red Scarf Project by collecting scarves locally and coordinating their delivery to the organization each year.

Scarves are accepted by the Covina Woman’s Club from January through September to allow time for collection and mailing. Knit, crocheted, and heartfelt, every scarf makes a meaningful difference.
